Residenza Il Girasole in collaboration with Rafting Umbria organises guided descents along the Corno River.An exciting activity for all which doesn’t require any particular skills or certificates to partake in the activity in complete safety. The rafts are inflatables built especially to resist the power of the river, reinforced and divided into seperate air chamber. The rafts normally carry 6 (min. 2 max. 7 ) "passengers" and the guide.
The Corno River divides into two courses of the same length, which can be followed in around 2 hours (7 km), with maximum security also for the most inexperienced. The first tranquil and fascinating course takes across the ‘Gola di Biselli’, where we stop to swim and drink water from a natural spring in the rocks.

Canoe kayak, inflatable canoe, hydrospeed

Following the impetuous water of a torrent; following the tranquil route of a river, observing the surrounding nature. There are many ways to use these boats, which are reminiscent of the Canadian canoes and kayaks used by eskimoes.
The hydrospeed is, however, a new and exciting discipline. Aboard a type of bobsleigh designed especially to affront the downhill river using the stabilizers as a motor, you will enjoy yourself completely in the water. It isn’t difficult discipline, just follow the instructions of the guide given before and during the excursion, this way learning the fun techniques such as surf, the candles, the eskimo and ……. The rest is waiting to be discovered!!!
